What is Visible Light Transmission (VLT)?
Visible light transmission is the percentage of visible light that enters the vehicle window. The lower the percentage, the darker the window film.
Does lower VLT means better heat rejection?
Heat rejection is calculated based on Total Solar Energy Rejected (TSER) and Infrared Rejection Value (IRR). The higher the TSER and IRR value, the better the heat rejection.
Do PMAX tint films offer UV Protection?
Yes, of course. All PMAX tint films are designed to block out 99.9% of UV rays to protect your delicate skin and your car interior.
Will PMAX Tint Film affects signal or reception?
PMAX tint films are tested to have no interference with GPS, satellite or mobile phone reception, hence no frustration on losing connectivity on the go.
However, it’s advisable to travel at 20km/ hour at the Smart Tag terminal (as mentioned by PLUS) for the scanner to pick up the signal from your device.
What is the current tint regulations in Malaysia?
The current regulations for tinting in Malaysia are — 70% VLT for the windscreen, 50% VLT for the front side windows and any percentage for the rear windows.
Does PMAX offer warranty cover?
We also provide a 5-years warranty for a 1-to-1 exchange against any delamination, bubbling, peeling, cracking or discolouration. However, our warranty does not cover man-made damage.
Is there any surcharge for tint removal?
Yes, an additional fee of RM80 will apply for old/ existing tint removal.
How long does it take to install the tint film?
It takes about 2 – 3 hours to get the tint film installed on your windows. It will take another 7 days for the film to completely cure. Do avoid cleaning or winding down your windows during the curing period.
